This intergenerational genre began 40-year prognoses with Economist 1982 survey: why not Silicon Valley everywhere? Although 3 generations apart Neumann Einstein-Turing (NET) disappeared suddenly in mid 1950s. Neumann’s “Computer and the Brain” -scribbled from Bethesda’s Naval Hospital 1956 - represented their last notes in 1956 - its very different from the infamous academic summit Dartmouth summer 1956 where some claim McCarthy coined AI.
